Women’s Development initiative in coordination with the CCA Minimize

Winter training time is almost here!

A new women's only winter bike league has been formed in the Upstate of South Carolina.  The purpose of the league is to provide an environment in which current female competitive cyclists can train and invite other female cyclists with an interest in racing to join us.  The bike league will run regular training rides from November through February throughout the Upstate of South Carolina - with an across the border early bird ride tentatively scheduled for October in North Carolina. The intent of the rides is base mile training in a non-competitive, collegial environment (that means no sprint zones!).  The rides will be tempo, 18/19 mph pace - and will range between 2.5 and 3.5 hours in length - with a longer ride in late January/early February. Location of the rides will vary with start locations announced in advance.  For additional information, contact Elizabeth Brady at:  bradyelizabeth@ymail.com or visit our Facebook page:  Women's Only Upstate Winter Bike League Facebook Page.
