Name the USA Cycling newsletter contest!
Based on member feedback, USA Cycling is unveiling a new communication piece designed to provide more targeted information specific to licensees. We welcome your feedback and assistance in naming this new publication. Please send any suggestions for a new title for the USA Cycling Member News to membership@usacycling.org no later than April 1. Be sure to include "Newsletter Naming Contest" in the subject line. A grand prize of an adult, domestic 2010 USA Cycling license will be awarded to the naming contest winner.

National governing body moves to 210 USA Cycling Point
USA Cycling's home office is moving to a new location as of March 9, 2009. The new national headquarters will remain inside the Colorado Springs, Colo. city limits, moving approximately 12 miles northwest of the current facility.

National Events
BMX Nationals ready to roll in Texas March 21
The USA Cycling BMX National Championships will take place on March 21 at the Metroplex BMX complex in Desoto, Texas. On-line registration is now available here. Registration will also be available on-site Thursday, March 19 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. and Saturday morning from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The USA Cycling National Championship race will be the only way to qualify for the UCI World Challenge, July 24-26 in Adelaide, Australia. Only U.S. citizens are allowed to compete and all riders must bring proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate). 2009 National Championship schedule set
The dates and locations for the all of USA Cycling's 2009 National Championship events are now set. A total of 16 events will provide amateur and professional cyclists with an opportunity to claim a coveted Stars-and-Stripes national champion’s jersey across all five disciplines of competitive cycling.

Athlete Programs
2009 Athlete Development Camps announced
USA Cycling is offering a full complement of Junior and Collegiate age group Regional Athlete Development Camps in 2009. Camps will take place in a variety of locations across the country and are open to all athletes between the ages of 14 and 22. Registration begins March 15, 2009. World Championship selection criteria now available
Selection procedures for a number of 2009 UCI World Championship and World Cup events are now available on the Team Selection page of the Athlete Programs section of the USA Cycling website. Qualification criteria for the UCI Supercross BMX events, UCI Junior Road and Track World Championships, the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and the Pan-Am Championships are all available here.
Euro MTB Development Camp Series for 2009
A series of European development camps will be offered by USA Cycling in the spring/summer of 2009. The U23 and junior cross-country camps will be based in Kirchzarten, Germany, each running for a three-week period. All interested parties must complete and return petitions for one of the three camps to USA Cycling National Mountain Bike Development Director Marc Gullickson no later than April 1. Both men and women between the ages of 17 and 22 are encouraged to apply. Click here for more information.
2009 LAJRS announced
The initial 2009 schedule for the Lance Armstrong Junior Race Series (LAJRS) is now available on the LAJRS page of the USA Cycling website. The series is entering its 17th season and provides racing and recognition opportunities for junior and U23-aged men and women across the nation.

Education
March webinars open to public
USA Cycling will be continuing its series of educational web-based seminars (webinars) on a variety of topics. Organized by the USA Cycling Coaching Program, the webinars are open to all USA Cycling members and the public at-large.
Webinars cost $25 for USA Cycling Certified Coaches, $35 for USA Cycling members and $50 for all others, except those designated as free webinars. Participants must pay before registering for the webinar via the MYUSACYCLING function on the USA Cycling website. When you log in to MYUSACYCLING, you will see a heading for "USA Cycling Coaching Clinics.” Click there and proceed to "View Available Clinics.” Free webinars will have a link directly to the registration page, by passing the payment process.
